Training – Geotechnical Instrumentation.

IMG staff training with Giorgio Pezzetti, expert engineer in geotechnical monitoring applied to large infrastructures, focused on geotecnhical instrumentations, their installation procedures and best practice.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Nhazca,  IMG is present at event organized by the Research Centre for Geological Risk CERI,   at “Aula Magna” Rectorate of Sapienza University of Rome, on November 13-14, 2019.

An event to discuss on land and infrastructures planning, maintainance and management aimed to risk reduction. A panel discussion involving authorities from public institution, universitites, companies talking about future challenges for land and infrastructures monitoring.

Img is present at the 6th annual meeting of Measurand distributors, hosted in Fredericton, New Brunswick, from 15 to 17 May 2019. Distributors will participate in ShapeArray technical training, in-depth sessions and round tables.

Img will be present at the VII International Conference on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering to be held in Rome from 17 to 20 June 2019.
We will discuss about the most recent developments in seismic geotechnical engineering, through the fields of seismology, geophysics, geology, structural and infrastructural engineering.

Countdown to the next 45th General Assembly ITA-AITES and World Tunnel Congress 2019 organized in Naples, from May 3^rd to May 9^th, by the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES) and the Italian Tunneling Society (SIG) .
Topics of design and construction of underground works, tunneling, engineering and innovation will meet this year the archeology, architecture and art in the Mediterranean basin, in the Neapolitan area that boasts a long history of tunneling, from the period Roman to the modern Toledo Metro Station, on line 1, ITA 2015 award for “Innovative use of underground space”.
The annual event will be hosted in the famous “Mostra d’Oltremare” in Naples, a large multi-purpose center and one of the main conference hubs in Italy.
The Congress will give the opportunity to all participants to show their products, technologies and know-how in an international exhibition.
Among the authors, Img will participate to share and represent his experience on the new Metro line C in Rome, currently under construction and that crosses the most prestigious urban areas for its historical and cultural heritage, in which archeology and art play a fundamental role in the design subsoil.

On 28 February 2019, Img, italian authorized distributor for Measurand, installed the first SAAV Measurand in Italy, the newest and most advanced ShapeArray model. This is an automatic 3D inclinometer system, equipped with the latest generation MEMS accelerometric sensors. The instrument was installed in Val di Sangro, Abruzzo Region (Italy), in a landslide context, in order to monitor its movements. Specifically it is only the first of a long series of SAAV that will be installed in this area for geotechnical-geomorphological monitoring that Img will perform for ANAS S.p.A., as part of the construction project of the S.S. 652 “Fondo Valle Sangro”, between the Gamberale station and the Civitaluparella station.
